Playlist Fiction: Part Two

I'm back! I bet you didn't think I would be until next month, eh? Well, wrong you were. Anyhow, update about yesterday's post on Laura L. Smith. She also judges many of the contests on Go Teen Writers, my very favorite blog on the entire universe of the internet. I always seem to forget that. I guess you never really think of the judges while you're completed focused on whether your entry was one of the top picked or not. Just thought I'd add that.

And now, today on a different author and a different book from the Playlist Young Adult Fiction.

"Glass Girl" by Laura Anderson Kurk!

About the book: Where do I ever start? Let me just say, it was terrific. I couldn't stop reading. Anyway, it's a re-write of her book that was published in 2010. It has the same title, and you can find it on Goodreads.

About the author:

Laura Anderson Kurk is one of those lucky souls who gets to live in a college town. In fact, it’s her college town—College Station, Texas, where she drove in under cover of darkness when she was way too young and proceeded to set the place on fire. She majored in English for the love of stories, and due to a massive crush on F. Scott Fitzgerald. She continued on to receive an advanced degree in literature. She writes contemporary books for young adults, a genre that gives her the freedom to be honest. Her debut novel Glass Girl is an unconventional and bittersweet love story, and its sequel Perfect Glass makes long-distance love look possible.

She’s crazy about her husband and her two ginger-headed kids. Laura blogs at Writing for Young Adults (laurakurk.com). She’s a featured columnist at Choose Now Ministries, where she writes On Hollywood. On twitter, she’s @laurakurk.

Just an FYI, I'll talk more about the books on April 1st and after. Sorry I'm not giving much information. I'm just waiting until we have more to give about it. Which will be April 1st.

God bless!

    1. I've been a finalist two or three times. I was second place and honorable mention on one. I think you may have judged that one, but I can't remember now. Aww, thanks. You're making me blush. :3

    1. :D Yep! The re-write comes out April 1st, if you'd rather wait for it. I haven't read the first copy, so I might go to my library and try to find it, too.
